Self Explanatory.
Wyvern Knight (Vanessa) was one of my best. Rogue (Colm) he was only hit a total of 16 times on promotion. Wow. Berserker (Ross) took a lot of time to get to, but owned face in the arena. Druid (Knoll) I just like ol' Knoll. General (Gilliam) was just awesome. Swordmaster (Joshua) is a favorite of mine, and turned out capping 3 stats at lv 16. Spd, Skl, Str. At 20, also was one away from capping Def. Mercenary (Gerik) was BAMF incarnate.

Really? I made him a bishop. Slayer helps. Artur, same story. Saleh? now theres your sage. Excalibur never had a better wielder (Possible exception Soren)

Saleh has the stat issues that most prepromotes do. Lute makes the best sage, though Moulder is the best when it comes to wielding excalibur (11 CON FTW)

I always like Sages, and Lute is a really good one. Joshua is alway one of my favorite swordmasters. Rangers were cool too, but I wish Gerik had more speed so he could be a more effective ranger.

I had made Ross a Warrior (got him promoted to Fighter by CH. 9) with not that much babying at all.
Joshua was a great swordmaster for me (though he had sort of a dismal strength rating if I recall).
Gerik was a balanced hero for me and became my main once I promoted him, always a sure thing with him on there.
Dont even get me started on how I trained Cormag.

I'm not allowed to say mine outside of the Gheb topic.

Meh. Go figure, Gheb. I wish the Mage knight Class had returned to FE9 and 10, Great Idea. Maybe for Tormod.

I got tired of training Amelia after she got to cavalier, though she would be useful.
Ross and Ewan were easier for me to train

Ewan and Amelia are the two worst characters in FE8, due to having little to no practical use.

Once you train 'em up in the tower, they're actually good. (Then again, I only played through FE8 once, hated it.)

That's uneccesary babying, and even then they aren't that great.

Sure, tower abuse makes Ewan and Amelia go from bad to good, but it makes anyone else go from good to great in less than half the time. It's impractical, tedious, and time-consuming.
