2 is so boring I haven't gotten around to it.

I have yet to play any of them...I really want to play Thracia 776 and Sword of Seals, though. How did you get a hold of them?

IIRC, none of the patches are 100% completed, but they help nonetheless.
Ledcambell, to play any of the first 6 FE's you need to do one of the following:
1) Import (Playasia.com works)
2) Emulation (Illegal, but free. Most popular way)
3) Move to Japan.

I Have a mac, but am interested in emulating FE6. Can i do it? all translation+emulators out there don't seem to work.

You'll have a more difficult time doing it for sure. You'll need to find a Mac GBA emulator and IPSWin, since VBA is the only emulator that autopatches, in addition to the ROM and the english translation patch. Google is your best friend.

yikes. seems like more trouble than it's worth. I guess FE6 is a lost cause unless nintendo releases it on the vc.

It's not going to come out in America anytime soon, but it definitely is worth it. Posting links to ROMs/Emulators is illegal, but I could link you to the patch if you plan on playing it.

thx though. and this isn't just some "Mommy told me not to take candy from strangers" bs, i just don't like getting spam. not that you are spam, but i know i just will get some if its on the internets. is FE6 really worth having illegal software on my hard drive though?

I really enjoyed it. It is fun to see how all the characters are related to FE7 people. And yeah, it is worth it.

I played some of 6 before when some family from Japan brought it, they taught me about Fire Emblem and how to play it.
*fast foward to when I got FE7 for the first time*
I quickly mistook Eliwood for Roy even though I kknew it was a different game by the other characters and fighting annimations. My interest simply grew from there

Yes, posting ROMs and ISOs and WAREZ are both against the rules and illegal.
If you wish to distrubute them to someone, the PM system is your best friend.
It's definately better then giving out your email.
