He means that you can spend the gold you've earned in the RP (which hasn't had much use yet, since weapons don't break) and he'll customize your profile by doing admin-type things. In this case, he'll change the color of your name and...I guess custom title is like how the mods are Hero(ine)s and he's a Vanguard.
Also, I think he's added a "gold rating" to everyone's profile's so we can keep easy track of who has how much.

Near the bottom of the profile editing page there's a box that says "Custom title" enter it there.
